The Legend of Salcedo Hoodie: Wear a piece of Puerto Rican history.
This hoodie inspired by one of Puerto Rico’s most enduring stories of Taíno resistance. According to the legend, in 1511, Taíno leaders drowned the Spanish conquistador Diego Salcedo in the waters of the Río Grande de Añasco to test whether the Spanish were truly immortal.
They weren’t. Some think they simply drowned him over a dispute but ultimately it means to show that the Taino did resist and weren't simply docile servants, as history described.
More than merch, this hoodie is a conversation starter, it's a way to carry Puerto Rican history, resistance, and memory wherever you go.
Created by Borikén Podcast for Boricuas on the archipelago, across the diaspora, and anyone who believes our stories deserve to be remembered and told.
🇵🇷 Wear your history. Know your history. Share your history.
